The game is dealt from a Spanish shoe which means that the decks which are used have 48 cards without the 10s, just like in Spanish 21. The other picture cards are retained in the deck. Mostly, double attack blackjack is played with six or with eight decks and is quite popular today in Atlantic City as well as in many online casinos.

Point values of the cards

In double attack blackjack, the point values of the cards remain the same like in standard blackjack. Also, like in normal blackjack, the player would win if the total of his/her cards is higher than that of the dealer without exceeding 21. Dealers would still win a push. Any hand of the player, where the total is more than 21, the hand would bust and the player would automatically lose.

The game is basically a variation of the famous Spanish 21 which pays even money on the game. The players have the chance to double their initial bet after they see the up card of the dealer.

Also, there is a side bonus which is offered in the game which is known as "bust it". This bet is on whether the dealer would bust on the third card or not. The side bet has to be made before the up card is dealt to the dealer and the payout would be based on the rank of the card which is being dealt. The bet would only be paid if the dealer does bust on the 3rd card.

Payouts

• On the side bet, if the third card of the dealer is a ten, the payout would be 3 to 1.
• With a nine the payout would be 6 to 1 and with an eight it would be an 8 to 1.
• The highest payout in the side bet is when the third card of the dealer is a six. In this case the payout for the player would be 15 to 1.
• Also, there is an added payoff if the dealer would have an eight and then gets another eight with the same suit or color. The payout for that would be 50 to 1 if the eights are the same color.
• A very exciting bonus payout is paid of 200 to 1 when the dealer gets eights of the same suits.
