MicroGaming Blackjack
MicroGaming has always been number one in the on line black jack gaming industry. They had been the first every company to develop a complete online casino in 1994. Also, even today they remain the top most producer for online casino software. They have more than 120 online casinos as well as more than 40 poker rooms which are powered with their software. They offer more than 350 games to choose from.
When it comes to on line black jack variations too, MicroGaming has some interesting variations, which are as discussed below:
Big Five Blackjack
- In Big five blackjack, the dealer will have to hit on soft 17.
- The player can split any two cards.
- The aces can be split just once and an extra card would be dealt before the player will have to stand.
- Also, a split ace along with a ten will not be counted as a blackjack but simply as 21.
- Players can also re-split up to three times to make four hands.
- Players can double down on their first two cards only. The bet in that case would be equal to half of the original bet.
- Doubling after a split is allowed but not in case of a blackjack.
- Players can place an insurance bet on the first hand but not after doubling down or splitting when the dealer has an ace. If the dealer has a blackjack the payout would be 2 to 1 but the bet would be lost if the dealer does not have insurance.
- Players are also allowed to surrender their hand in which case half of the original bet would be lost.
Triple 7s blackjack
Triple 7s blackjack is quite similar to standard blackjack. However, the biggest difference is that credit bet will have to be made on every single deal. This is mandatory.
- The dealer will always have to stand on all the 17s.
- Players can split but not re-split. In case the aces are split and the player receives a 10, it would not be considered as a blackjack.
- Doubling down would mean placing an extra bet equal to that of the original bet amount. Doubling down is not allowed after splitting.
- There is no surrender option available to the players.
Hi Lo 13 European blackjack
Hi Lo 13 European blackjack is quite similar to European Blackjack. What this means is that:
- The dealer will have to stand on all the 17s.
- Players are allowed to split just once in every game.
- The aces can also be split but for every new hand there would only be one card dealt and then the players will have to stand.
- The players are allowed to down on eight, ten or eleven but not after a split or if a blackjack has been dealt.
- Also, there are additional rules for the side bet. The total bet has to be on the first two cards of the players and can be done once the main bet has been placed. There are 3 ways to bet and players can bet on all three. Low is below 13, Hi is over 13.
